I started cooking when I was pretty young and it’s been a way to express my creative side in a way that I can enjoy and share with my friends and family. A somewhat non-aesthetic post from our early Christmas dinner - posted two days late cause I slept for 16.5 hours the day after this 🤷🏽‍♂️. In no particular order the menu: Whipped vanilla bean brown butter, blackberries, local honey, and flakey salt on fresh homemade bread. Friday morning scones bc my Spotify daylist yesterday was “Surprised Baking Thursday Afternoon”. Scroll to find a live action enactment of me baking this morning. Never made scones before but I’ll definitely have to make some fun variations on these flavors. Peach and blackberry mini galettes with honey syrup and fresh mint - basically summer in a pastry. Def not lost in my how lucky I am to live close to so many great farmers markets for amazing produce. Also made some Blackberry peach basil jam cause I have free will. Behind the scenes at some of the cookie R&D from the past few months! Working on a few seasonal flavors for the summer: Meyer Lemon Tart with Homemade Blueberry Jam Swirl, whipped cream, and fresh mint in an almond flour crust. I’m an absolute sucker for anything lemon in dessert and wanted to appease my inner 5 year old with the swirly painting design. A tart is basically a pie that went to private school, automatic +5 fancy points
